Bowser's Kingdom Episode 4, Bouncer Job, is the fourth episode of Bowser's Kingdom, which was made by Araskin500 and Pthouse. This episode was released on Newgrounds on October 17, 2007.
Premise[]
Hal and Jeff get new jobs as bouncers for a club, and their first priority is to park Bowser's Clown-Face Copter to an unspecified spot. But the pair start to cause a lot of mayhem and even caused some deaths.
Summary[]
Hal and Jeff are placed as the new bouncers of Iggy Koopa's castle, which is called Club Iggy. Jeff comments that it should help with their rent, much to Hal's annoyance that Jeff's still getting paid. Jeff, confused, reminds Hal that everyone is getting paid and that he should talk to the management about it. Though Hal said he did, but they never sent an email back to him (this is because the management does not know who Hal is, with a short cutscene of a Sumo Bro deleting Hal's email). Still, Jeff says that they're both lucky that the management fired the previous bouncer because he heard that "he sucked." Apparently that previous bouncer would be Steve, who pops out of the pipe next to the entrance of Club Iggy. Steve thought that Hal and Jeff are working as bouncers with him, but Hal informs Steve that they're replacing him, with Jeff telling Steve that he sucked. While Steve is confused why this might be the case, Mario enters the scene with Steve greeting him as Mario enters Club Iggy. As Steve expresses how Mario is a regular, Hal and Jeff are absolutely furious at Steve because Steve was supposed to keep only Mario out. At that point, Hal tells Steve to put a bag over his head and never take it off; Steve kindly agrees and leaves, with Jeff curious if he'll actually do it as Hal hopes that Steve will do it. Now moving on, Hal is confused who comes to the club as he only sees just Shy Guys and "Disco Grandma" (a female Magikoopa who says "Num Num!"), with Jeff replying "a convenient Clerks reference." Now the pair are curious what's going on inside the club.
Inside a club, a massive group of Shy Guys are partying. Somewhere, a Blue Shy Guy tells a Red Shy Guy to not drink the punch. The latter replies back that Harry, a Yellow Shy Guy, was drinking the punch all night and "he's fine." Though the scene scrolls to Harry, dead, with a Green Shy Guy seeing his corpse. Harry's ghost leaves his body, turning him into a Boo Guy. Harry believes that he's going through an "out-of-body experience," with the Green Shy Guy informing him that he's dead. Harry spooks the Green Shy Guy; the latter confused on who said that. The scene scrolls back with the previous two Shy Guys, with the Red Shy Guy concerned why should he care about what the Blue Shy Guy says, with the former saying that the Blue Shy Guy is a "magical pixie figment of his imagination" and decides to fly over to the Chocolate River.
Back outside, Bowser arrives at Club Iggy and orders Hal and Jeff to fly his Clown-Faced Copter to an unspecified spot or else he'll eat his breakfast out of their skulls. While the pair accept the order, Hal is amazed how "one simple grunt can be written into such well written lines of dialogue." Jeff replies that "it's why he's the boss." As they hop into the Copter, Hal argues with Jeff to park it, though the latter argues back that Bowser said that they need to fly "over there," which Bowser didn't specify. Still, Hal comments that Jeff doesn't have a skull and doesn't want Bowser to eat Yoshi-O's out of his skull.
The pair begin flying the Copter to an unknown spot, though Hal is seen hunched over, in pleasure. Jeff questions what's going on with and it's revealed that the Princess was sucking Hal beneath. Disgusted, Jeff also declares this unfair since he's only a mushroom, adding that mushrooms reproduce through spores. Hal suggests that the Princess can suck off the spores but Jeff declines this in anger and says if he can't get any, then neither can Hal. The Copter was then turned upside-down, dumping the Princess and some Mecha-Koopas. Unfortunately, a giant metal ball was also dumped, crushing and killing the Princess, much to Hal and Jeff's horror. Jeff didn't realize the Copter had a giant metal ball and knows that Bowser is going to kill them, though Hal disagrees that Mario and Luigi would kill them instead. Hal decides to have the Princess' body buried, but Jeff argues that the Princess was literally buried enough, being "six feet under with a 2-ton iron ball over her." The pair then left the area in panic.
Later, the pair come across Steve, who is wearing a brown paper bag over his head. Steve asks what he's supposed to do now, with Jeff answering "die." Steve then asks if he's dead yet, and this frustrates Hal, who tells him that he's supposed to use a plastic bag and that Steve sucks so much that he couldn't even kill himself right. Though Steve apologizes and promises he'll try harder next time in a positive attitude. As the pair fly away, Steve comments that Hal and Jeff are swell.
Meanwhile, the pair continue on flying while looking at Steve. However, they weren't looking and bumped into Paul Hammerbro's Flying Platform, much to Paul's anger. Paul was furious how the pair wasn't looking where they were going, despite the fact that the Copter literally has a giant Clown Face. Even when Jeff told the truth, Paul threatens them that he'll throw hammers. Demanding compensation, Jeff replies that the Copter wasn't theirs and they were just parking it. Paul then demands that he wants to talk to the owner of the Copter, with Hal, holding a Mecha-Koopa, says that he owns it and that Paul and ask him. The pair toss Paul the Mecha-Koopa and leave quickly, with Paul relieved for some answers... until he realized he was fooled and starts to throw hammers.
At this rate, the pair begin to toy with the Clown-Faced Copter. They first trash Yoshi's House by knocking over Yoshi's mailbox while laughing. They then sneak up on a Toad, which seemed safe at first as they get closer down... until they got too close and grinded Toad's head with the Copter's propeller, killing him - this horrifies the pair, with Hal claiming he didn't mean to do that and Jeff commentating "that's the second murder tonight." Hal decided to return the Copter before they kill anyone else again. But as they do, they come across Steve again... dead, with a plastic bag over his head. Jeff says "that makes three," but Hal argues that Steve did it to himself, which would be counted as a suicide, not a murder. But Jeff counterargues that they were the ones who told him to do it. It was at this rate Jeff stated that they killed three people tonight, and not a single one was Mario. They both agreed that they're horrible at being villains. They then finally decide to return the copter, without any technical difficulties.
Outside of Club Iggy, Bowser was waiting for the pair. Finally parking the Clown-Faced Copter (at the exact same spot), Bowser is impressed with their work and decides to give Jeff a raise. Hal is shocked and argues that he didn't get paid, with Bowser realizing that his Copter was scratched (from Paul Hammerbro's Flying Platform) and declaring that is coming out of Hal's pay. Despite not having a wage, Hal is struck with despair and frustration.
The episode ends with Rick Finkelstein questioning Paul why he throws hammers whenever he gets angry. Paul answers that he needs to throw them, as he has an unlimited amount of hammers. There's no limit to how much he can throw, as Paul says it depends on how mad he is. Rick questions if Paul throwing hammers is really just Paul "throwing himself," which irritates and confuses Paul. Rick then takes out a little doll of Geno and tells Paul to point to a spot where "his father touched him." Furious, Paul shouts that his father never touched him, though he's interrupted by Rick that there's no need to be sensitive. Rick assumes that Paul's father touched him in the butt, saying that he "already knows where he did it," which further enrages Paul to be "hammer angry." Still going at it, Rick tells Paul to just point at the doll, which resulted in Paul yelling in anger and throwing a hammer at Rick's face before proceeding to throw multiple hammers everywhere, left and right.

- Princess Toadstool's design is different in her early episode appearances, due to her being depicted with her SMW design. The design is later changed to her sprite in Super Princess Peach, starting with Smash Kingdom and physical appears in "Bowser's Kingdom: The Movie."
- The Newgrounds song "Rave Slammer" by ZeRo BaSs is heard in this episode.
- This episode debuts Paul Hammerbro and Rick Finkelstein, though their names are listed as "Lakitu" and "Hammer Bro", which is odd since this happens often in the credits in any of the show's episodes that appear they in. Rick's Geno Doll also debuts.
- Luigi is first mentioned by Hal.
- This is one of the few episodes of the web-series where there is no Super Mario RPG: Legends of the Seven Stars music playing in the background, since most of the music heard in this episode are taken from a remix of the "Athletic" theme from SMW.
- The end credits play a music track from Super Mario All-Stars.
