Goombas

Goombas are basically a living mushroom that used to be good creatures until Bowser took over. They then defected over to his side and have been in many Mario games so far. There are some Goombas who are good however like Goombario for example.

In Bowser's Kingdom

In the show Bowser's Kingdom, one of the main characters of the show is Jeff the Goomba, who is a Goomba who is trying to be a villan like his best friend Hal the Koopa. They both have seemed to fail every mission their leader, Bowser, gave them. Other Goombas appear in the show however they haven't made any huge roles in the series, limited only to background roles, such as the first episode, where Mario defeats a couple of them, along with a red Koopa, and Shy Guys. Zombies Goombas appear in the Halloween episode, after one individual gets stomped by Mario, and turns into a zombie from a poisonous mushroom, along with a Shy Guy. A few Goombas appear in the movie as part of Bowser's army, but stomped by the Karate Duo Number 1 using Lucky Candy. In the show, they are depicted as the Goombas from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
